In the work package "Modelling of the power generation system and mode of operation of electrolysis", various scenarios for the years 2030 to 2050 will be developed and simulated on the computer with appropriate programmes. The results of these simulations will be generation, consumption and prices as well as the need for seasonal storage. Simulations are strongly dependent on the chosen boundary conditions, specifically on the cross-border energy supplies (electricity, hydrogen, ...). Different assumptions and the effects on the demand for storage will be investigated. In addition to estimating the demand, suitable operating modes for storage and withdrawal (i.e. operating modes for the electrolyser or compressor) are to be worked out for the scenarios. These operating modes should actually be used with the plant.
